arrived to battle a blaze in upstate New York, police said.

俺有过一模一样的经历。从daycare接了孩子出来，刚把孩子buckle up，随手一
关门，发现悲剧了：车门锁了，钥匙在车里，而俺家娃在car seat里buckled up。
俺家娃当时2岁半，还完全不明白怎么回事，一点都不紧张，还跟俺玩Peek-a-boo。
（俺在气候宜人的加州，当时是秋天的傍晚，天气不冷不热。）
幸亏当时就在daycare门口，马上找了校长，俺当时的意思是让校长给个黄页，电话
叫锁匠。但校长说这事事关小孩子，可以叫firefighter，而且附近1 mile以内
正好有个fire station。于是校长马上打电话叫firefighter，他们5分钟以内
就到了。俺为了保险起见，还电话了至少5个锁匠，结果最快回电话的锁匠都是10
分钟之后了，充分说明训练有素的firefighter真不是白给的，同时切实感到为什么
firefighter那么受人尊敬，在此再次致敬！继续。。。firefighter来了以后，
俺马上提议说如果锁不好开，可以砸车窗。但firefighter说现在车内温度正常，

兵。特点是年轻，拼体力，人多，农村小伙多。上月大连牺牲了的那小伙就是这情况。
美国是职业消防，白天上班，晚上下班回家，在工时上跟其他职业没有很大不同。特点
是拼器材，拼经验，知识水平高，白人小伙/大叔站绝大部分比例。
最近经济情况不好，很多state gov和county gov纷纷裁员，全职的消防队员工作亦难
保障，对志愿消防员需求更是不大。还好华盛顿及周边地区经济受波及较小，Virginia
政府特别是临近DC的几个县非常富庶 |

pay them? I think home owners not paying their fire department fee must be
very prevalent there. As much as the what the firefighters did didn't look
good, the home owners also have themselves to blame. |

But if the home owner cannot save those pets, firefighters won't either. No firefighter will endanger their own life to save that of animals. It's procedure, they are instructed not to.
It's a rural area, the fire didn't endanger anyone. It's about pure money. So don't talk about human lives. |

The situation is very simple. If the fire department is obligated to fight fire no matter the home owner pay or not, then who will be motivated to actually pay? Let's say if the firefighters fought the fire this time, what message the home owners who paid would get? |

这下子我可以向我的女儿讲怎么可以做个firefighter了
分58秒。我没有做过practice，和专项肌肉训练，只是看了多次视频，心里对整个过程
有了大概的了解就去测试了。对路线不熟，是损失时间的最大因素。做过practice和专
项训练之后应该会在8分左右。
备。但是到了场上还是感觉体力不行。最大的killer就是第一项, stair climbing，这
3分20秒下来，基本上感觉不到大腿了。200 stairs相当于70磅的负重爬20层楼。
下搞定，我愣是轮了9下。这玩意练和不练区别太大了，纯靠臂力感觉震得肩头头嘛了
，练过的臂力与腰腿力量一结合，锤子的速度起来就什么都有了。 |

就说九一一之后, NYC的FIREFIGHTER与到一个困境:
是马上退休,还是继续作.
马上退休, 退休金按工资加上OVERTIME, 很多钱.
继续干, 等到真退修时, 就没那末多OVERTIEM, 退休金就少很多.
当时着事还上电视了. |

我的CPAT测试。前面说了10分20秒算是及格通过，最牛的白人大概用7分半，我用了8分58秒。我没有做过practice，和专项肌肉训练，只是看了多次视频，心里对整个过程有了大概的了解就去测试了。对路线不熟，是损失时间的最大因素。做过practice和专项训练之后应该会在8分左右。
从笔试到CPAT大概有20天左右，这20天基本每天一个5K，速度在8-9mph。算是体能储备。但是到了场上还是感觉体力不行。最大的killer就是第一项, stair climbing，这3分20秒下来，基本上感觉不到大腿了。200 stairs相当于70磅的负重爬20层楼。
还有forcible entry轮铁锤那项，真看出老中臂力不行了，白人黑人男的av |

查到了这个，在韩战中，美军采用“双枪制”：两人配合，一个打，一个压满子弹等着
；等到“砰”一声弹夹弹出，对方露头时，压满子弹的那个就正好开火。
